About us

Owen Latham is Natural High Paragliding’s chief tandem pilot. He has been flying tandem paragliders for nearly 15 years. He has worked teaching paragliding and flying tandem on the beautiful South Downs in Sussex and all over the world.

Owen’s love of flying is infectious. He goes out of his way to make sure anyone who flies with him gets exactly what they want from the flight whether that’s a gentle boat around or an adrenaline filled acrobatic experience.

Owen holds the tandem distance record from Devil’s Dyke, one of the busiest sites in the UK and recently had the honour of flying the oldest pilot to have ever soared above the South Downs.

Just to thank you, Owen, for an exhilarating tandem flight over the South Downs on Sunday. As you know it took some time to arrange but it was well worth the wait and I particularly enjoyed it when we managed to find a thermal and soar gracefully really high. It is the nearest thing I have ever had to flying free and I loved it!

I got a voucher for a tandem flight as a birthday present. The flight was awesome – caught a thermal giving some amazing views of the countryside around Devils dyke and on the way down Owen performed some mild acrobatics. Any fear of heights i once had are long gone. Owen is a cool guy, easy going but totally professional when it comes to instruction and safety. I am totally hooked now and will defiantly be looking into doing some training. I would highly recommend a tandem flight as a one off or as an introduction to the sport. What a buzz!
